The Birth of The "People's" Tour
Stupid Idiot Golf Tour was founded by Dylan after he struggled to get his buddies to show up for competitive golf events as most of them feared asking their wives for some PTO once a month. SIG Tour was established to have a large group of fellas wanting to get after it even though their game may not be good enough to compete at the gross score competitions around town. All skill sets are welcome, from the scratch golfer to golfers like my pal Israel and Cesar who have yet to break 100.

How it Works
We try to keep it simple on the SIG Tour. Each player will pay for their own green fees, usually at the club house unless reservations and deposits are required ahead of time. To be eligible to play in each event, a purse buy in of $25 will be required. 90% of the collected buy ins will be paid out to the top places in the event, the remaining 10% will be moved to the final event, The Stupid Idiot Championship, purse. Each Non-Major tournament will have an option to play Saturday, Sunday and potentially a week day if enough interest. Each tee time must consist of at least 2 unrelated players for scores to count. Pairings must be approved by Commissioner or Assistant to the Commissioner. Each player will start the round with 1 Mulligan for 18 holes. There will be no "breakfast balls" but a mulligan can be used instead. Mulligans can be used anywhere from tee to green.

In addition to the green fees and buy in for each event, we will also have an optional $25 skins game. There will be no carry overs for these skins, each hole that you win with a net score will earn you a skin. At the end of the round, the total skins purse will be split by the number of skins won per person.

Majors will be held on Saturdays only and tee times will be back to back. Championship rings are earned for all 4 majors. In addition to skins game, there will be an optional CTP challenge for each major. Playoff for 1st place will be held on the chipping green if needed.

The top 5 players in each tournament will receive points towards the SIG Championship in September/October. These points will increase the player's "stroke given" for the Championship giving them an advantage over the field.

The SIG Tour Championship will currently pay out 5 places, Top 3 and 2 randomly selected spots. This is currently based on 20 player field.
